14.30 Yamaha & Steinberg – Music Production Workshop “From Inception to Completion”
In this session, we take a journey through the entire process of transforming a simple song idea, to uploading the completed project – all within an hour!
Martyna will start by composing a song using her reface synths, designing sounds and recording the main parts. Dom will progress the production using Yamaha’s awesome Montage synth, layering parts, looking at sound design and using some of the ‘ground-breaking’ features in Cubase. DJ Sappo will then create the drums for the song, produce, mix and master the track before uploading it onto SoundCloud.

11.30 Ableton – Ableton Live and Push – Create, Produce and Perform – The workflow of a performing producer.

Building on her success so far in the UK , Rachel K Collier will perform, deconstruct and also create new track ideas alongside Ableton Education Specialist/Certified Trainer Simon Lyon.
This is a chance to see a perfect example of a hardworking 21st century songwriter, producer and performer at work. Rachel has co-written with a Grammy-nominated artist  Mat Zo and had a number 12 hit on the UK Singles Chart with Ray Foxx’s single “Boom Boom (Heartbeat)”.

Come along for an insight into songwriting, modern music production and how to take your music to your audience.

At the heartbeat of this set up and to assist him will be Novation’s iconic groovebox Circuit, Mark will give us an exciting look at some of Circuit’s killer updates that will add inspiration to any hardware or studio set up.
